Welcome to STEMBounce!
What it is: an opportunity to design a challenge using critical thinking skills! STEMBounce involves students creating STEM challenges for students/classes in other schools. Once a challenge is designed, it gets "bounced" to a group to complete. Upon completion, the group then uses the knowledge they have gained to create a new challenge, and they either "bounce it back" (#BounceBack) to the original designers or "bounce it forward" to a new group (#TrackTheBounce).
Throughout the process, participants document their learning, reflect on their successes and process, and collaborate with partner schools/classes via social media, documents or video conferencing.
The foundation of STEMBounce is the role of the student:
This initiative can continue all year, with the hope that it will spread to other classes within the initial schools, and then to other schools. This initiative is student directed and emphasizes creativity, problem solving, collaboration, global citizenship, digital citizenship, and incorporates hands-on and technology based STEM activities.
